Meet Senator Heidi Campbell: Nashville Native, Dedicated Public Servant

Senator Heidi Campbell represents a true Nashville story. Raised in the heart of the city, she's an alumna of St. Bernard Academy, University School of Nashville, and Hume-Fogg High School. Her academic journey took her from Sarah Lawrence College to an MBA from Vanderbilt University.

Before politics, Heidi made her mark in the music industry as a songwriter and musician with her band, The Keep, and later as a music publishing executive. Her political career was sparked by a successful grassroots campaign to protect her local community, leading her to roles as Vice-Mayor, planning commissioner, and then the first female Mayor of Oak Hill.

In the state senate, Heidi is known for her commitment to fiscal responsibility, equity, local business support, public safety, environmental stewardship, education, and social health. She holds key positions on several important committees and is known for her compassionate, data-driven approach to governance.

Heidi's Nashville roots extend to her family, with her father being a renowned cardiologist and her mother a former nurse and teacher. She lives near Radnor Lake with her husband Andrew, their two children, and their playful Goldendoodles, embodying the spirit of her beloved Nashville in her daily life and work.
